About Us

Doulas of New Brunswick (DNB) is a nonprofit professional organization representing perinatal doulas who support expectant families across New Brunswick, Canada. Our membership is made up of a diverse and dedicated group of individuals, each bringing unique personal and professional experiences to their doula practice.
Perinatal doulas are trained, non‑medical professionals who provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to families before and during childbirth, as well as throughout the postpartum period. Their goal is to help families achieve the healthiest, most satisfying, and most memorable birth experience possible. This work includes, but is not limited to, the roles of fertility doulas, labour and birth doulas, postpartum doulas, and bereavement doulas.
As a collective, DNB exists to strengthen the doula profession, support its members, and enhance access to compassionate perinatal care throughout the province.
